Below are photos of women who developed breast implant capsular contracture. This can be one of the most difficult conditions to treat. Some cases are mild and other can be severe. This woman has long standing, firm breasts.  Her scar tissue caused her implants to rise high and not move.  In her before pictures, the gland is falling off of the implants.  In her after photos, all of the scar tissue has been removed and new silicone gel breast implants have been placed to improve her aesthetics.

Her case is not as severe as others because her tissues hide the small implants better. Her small implants were above the muscle but very firm. She would not hug anyone because of the firmness. In her after pictures, she has had her scar tissue removed and new implants placed below the muscle. This is called a position change, from above to below the muscle.

She has silicone gel breast implants under the muscle with scar tissue surrounding the implants. This caused a contraction to occur and deform the breasts. In the after pictures, she has had all of her scar tissue removed and new breast implants placed below the muscle.

She had a breast lift with augmentation and tummy tummy tuck done elsewhere. She developed significant scar tissue and deformity in both breasts. Her implants were scared in a high position on the chest. In her after photos, the scar tissue surrounding the implants has been removed and new implants placed. No areolar revision was necessary.

She has the classic distortion that is seen in capsular contracture above the muscle. Her left implant capsule has distorted her breast mound and is very hard. All of the scar tissue was removed and she had new breast implants placed. In her after pictures, her breasts appear in a more natural position and soft looking.
