Low Breast Implant Revision Photos

Below are breast augmentation photos that display women who developed low positioned breast implants and have had revision breast implant surgery. This can occur in a short period of time after surgery or it can take months, to years to occur. Typically it is a slow process. The most dramatic cases occur within the first year after breast augmentation. The degree of drop will depend on many things. The women’s genetics, implant size, activity level, and surgical technique used are factors. This condition can be corrected surgically.

In her top before photos, she has a low implant on the right side. This is called lower pole fallout. This occurs because weight of the implant stretching out the tissues that hold up the implant, or weakness of the breast tissues, or over releasing these tissues during the surgery. The fold is repaired and this is called inframammary fold reconstruction. It is typically over corrected a bit because over time the implant will tend to stretch out the tissues again. In her after photos, in the middle row the fold is higher and in the bottom row, the implant has settled to is final position.

In her before photos in the top row, there is a mild or minor degree of lower pole fallout. This was enough to concern her and she requested her folds or creased to be raised. This is called inframammary fold reconstruction. In her after photos, both folds have been repaired.

In her top row of photos, she has a significant degree of fallout. She has large breast implants and her tissues did not hold up to the weight. She also has fold asymmetries and nipple position asymmetries. In the after photos, the folds have been repaired. In doing so, some of her other asymmetries will persist, especially the left nipple position. It is in a lower position because it was the extra skin that allowed it to drift upward. Once that skin was sewn back down to the ribs, there is less skin there and nipple will be pulled down with it.
